Bible Verse for June 14th.

"Do not be afraid or discouraged, for The Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor abandon you."

Deuteronomy 31:8

What an assuring promise to know that God personally goes before us and will always be with us. Many situations can cause us to be afraid or discouraged. It could be a new job, moving to a new place, a job interview, impending surgery or a new relationship. Maybe God is calling us to serve Him in another country, to witness to someone or to some special area of ministry. Whatever it is, God cares and we don't have to feel insecure, inadequate or be consumed with fear and worry because He is in control and has already gone ahead of us, orchestrating, directing and shaping things.

We may be filled with dread, wondering how things will turn out, but we simply need to relinquish our fear and worry to God and trust Him to work everything out for our good. We need to constantly remind ourselves of this promise and purpose in our hearts to face every circumstance with hope and faith, knowing that God is at work removing all obstacles and paving the way for us. From time to time, our human instinct will allow fear to surface in us, but as we surrender to God and grab hold of this truth, we have the belief and faith that God will never fail us nor abandon us and that all will be well.

Thank you Lord for going before me. I don't need to be afraid or discouraged because You have gone ahead of me to pave the way and remove any obstacles that may come my way. Lord, You know everything I am facing, but what an assurance to know that You are always with me, leading, guiding and directing every step I take. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
