After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world and we can't take anything with us when we leave it.
1 Timothy 6:7
NLT Bible
Over the course of our lives, we will undoubtedly accumulate lots of material things, much of which we have no need for. This verse reminds us that we entered this world with nothing and that's the exact way we will leave it. Many people get caught up in a vicious cycle of getting more and more and neglect the things that really matter in life..........our relationship with God and family, serving others and reaching the lost.
There is nothing wrong with wanting nice things and having extra money, but when it becomes our focus, we need to take a step back, evaluate our lives and get back on track. God expects us to use our resources to help others in need and to spread the gospel. If we fail to do that, because we are too busy storing up wealth and riches for ourselves, we have missed out on the true meaning of life itself. We need to be mindful of the fact that everything we have accumulated will be left behind. Ultimately, what matters is our eternity with Jesus and what we have done with our time on earth, the people we have impacted and the legacy we're leaving. The best thing we can do is to freely bless others with what God has blessed us with and make every moment of our lives count for Him.
Thank you Lord for Your many blessings. Help me to freely share all that I have with others. Let me not get caught up in wanting more and more, but may I focus on the things that really matter in life, loving and serving You. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
