From time to time, we all face giants in our lives. They are basically problems that overwhelm and consume us and threaten to defeat us. We are all familiar with the story of David and Goliath. David was a mere boy, with no obvious physical strength and Goliath was a giant that everyone was terrified of. However, David was not afraid and he faced the giant head on, because he knew that God was with him and would fight the battle for him. David went to Goliath in the mighty Name of The Lord and defeated him.
Many of us have giants that are plaguing our lives today and robbing us of fulfilling our true potential. We may be facing giants of fear, depression , lust, addiction, failing relationships, financial woes and much more. We need to stand our ground, focus on God, trust in Him and acknowledge that He is fighting our battles for us. Our job is to arm ourselves with faith, keep trusting God and face our giants head on. We cannot run from them or concede defeat. We have to spend time in prayer and the Word, confront these giants and command them to leave in the Name of Jesus. As we continue to do this, God will give us the victory.
Thank you Lord for fighting my battles. I need Your strength Lord, to defeat these giants that are robbing me of joy and peace. I know that there is no problem that is too big for You to solve and I surrender it all to you Lord. My desire is to always honour and serve You. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
