Bible Verse for March 22nd.

The Lord detests double standards; He is not pleased by dishonest scales.

God requires us to be honest in all that we do, in our everyday activities and any business dealings we may have. He is not pleased when we are involved in anything that's dishonest or underhand. This is actually mentioned four times in the book of Proverbs. We need to be mindful of this in the simple things.....getting extra change from the cashier, not being charged for an item in your shopping cart, withholding information on taxes. It's recognizing that even though it may seem like a small matter, it's actually dishonest and God is grieved.

As children of God, we have to be vigilant in our daily activities. We need to recognize that when we are dishonest, it eventually catches up with us. We must ask God to keep us honest in everything we do. Our lives must be a testimony to those around us. We need to practice what we preach, as people are looking at us to see if our actions line up with our words.

Thank you Lord for my conscience. Let it nudge me to always do what is right and pleasing in Your sight. Help me to never cheat or be dishonest in what I say or do. Let my life be a witness to others. I love you Jesus. Amen!
