So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you're already doing.

As children of God, we have to be people who encourage and lift each other up. There are so many who are in need of encouragement. We don't know the pain and hurt that lurks behind the plastered smile on someone's face. We have to be sensitive to those who are hurting and need to be lifted up. There are many ways that we can encourage others.
We first have to be interested and concerned about what's happening in someone's life, then let them know that we care and that Jesus loves them. We have to extend a helping hand, a kind word, a shoulder to cry on, a hug and a listening ear. People need to know that they matter, that someone cares about their pain and the trial they're experiencing. As children of God, we can offer them the hope that only Jesus can give. Many times, people just need someone to believe in them, to reassure them that things will be alright and that there's a light at the end of the tunnel. We need to ask the Holy Spirit to open our eyes so that we can see those around us who need to be encouraged.
Thank you Lord for always being there for me, in every situation and every circumstance. Help me to do the same for others, to be someone who will encourage and lift the spirits of those who are hurting. Let me not be caught up in my own life and miss any opportunity to bring hope to someone. I love you Jesus. Amen!
