Bible Verse for February 16th.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Galatians 6:9
NKJ Bible
Sowing and reaping is a natural part of life and much of who we are today is a direct
result of what has been sown in our lives. If we sow seeds of discord, bitterness and
hatred, we cannot expect unity and love to flourish in our lives and in our homes. There
are detrimental consequences to sowing things that are not wholesome and edifying, and
sadly, many lives are affected by it and sometimes this unwelcome harvest is passed on to
the people we love.
As children of God, we must sow seeds of goodness, kindness, love and obedience. We
need to invest our time and energy in those we care about, to sow righteousness into their
lives. Sometimes, many of us get tired when we don't see the results of what we've sown,
but we need to be mindful of the fact that there's a waiting period involved after sowing,
as evident when the farmer sows seeds. We just have to keep on planting good seeds in
those we interact with, knowing that a harvest of abundant blessings is on its way. We
don't know when, but God will reward us for our faithfulness.
Thank you Lord for your many blessings. Help me to sow good seeds of love and
kindness into the lives of others. Let me use what You have given me to bless and edify
others. Lord, with your help, may I never plant seeds of unrighteousness. I love you
Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
Lydia
