Bible Verse for February 15th.

I will search for faithful people to be my companions.
Psalm 101:6
NLT Bible

We all have friends, some are close, part of our 'inner circle' while others are just casual
acquaintances. It's important that we ask God for wisdom when choosing our close
friends. They need to be faithful and loyal, to remain with us through 'thick and thin', to
share our core values and be a compass for us to stay on the right path. Our friends
should be kind, considerate and compassionate. They should never be envious, but
always be happy when we succeed. They should inspire, challenge and motivate us to be
our best and to fulfill our God given potential.

Our close friends need to respect our boundaries, hold us accountable for our actions,
speak up when we do something wrong and defend us, if necessary. Good and faithful
friends are hard to find and we should cherish the ones we have, treating them with the
love and respect they deserve.

Close friendships must be based on genuine love, mutual respect, care and concern for
each other. It should be an easy, comfortable relationship, where understanding each
other's peculiarities is the norm and where appreciation is evident. The Word of God
should be our guide for choosing true and faithful friends.

Thank you Lord for being my friend. Give me wisdom and discernment to choose friends
who will be faithful and loyal, who will inspire me to be all that I can be. Help me to be a
good friend in return, to cherish and appreciate my friends. I love you Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
