Three things will last forever - faith, hope and love - and the greatest of these is love.

Love fills the air today and people everywhere are professing their love for one another.
It's the greatest emotion we have and the basis for everything else. Love is also a word
that is used carelessly and frequently by some for their own selfish gain. What then are
the true attributes of love? Firstly God is the source of love and the ultimate example of
true love.

Love is selfless. We would do anything for the ones we love. It is patient, kind, forgiving,
not jealous nor boastful. Love is not irritable and does not hold grudges. When we love
someone, we overlook faults and flaws and always see the good in them. Love should be
the motive for everything we do. It is not passive, but involves action, showing our loved
ones how much they matter to us.

Nothing can destroy true love. It endures through all kinds of trials. Sometimes in
relationships, things can seem grim and hopeless, but the forgiving power of love can
heal all wounds and hurts. Three things will last forever....faith, hope and love... but the
greatest of these is love.

Thank you Lord for Your everlasting love. Help me to love as You love, to show love
through my actions, to treat others with care, respect and concern. Let love be the
underlying motive in all that I do. Fill me with Your love, Lord Jesus. I love you. Amen!
