Bible Verse for January 2nd.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who
love God and are called according to His purpose for them.
Romans 8:28
New Living Translation Bible
As children of God, we are not exempt from trials, struggles, pain, illness, loss of loved
ones and other difficulties and we've probably grown accustomed to well meaning people
telling us that it will all work out, that things will get better. In this verse we have a
promise from God that He will cause everything to work together for our good. However,
there's a requirement for this......we must love and obey God and understand that He has a
purpose for us.
How do we get to this point of fully understanding this? If we love God, we are to trust
Him implicitly. It involves total dependency on God and recognizing that somehow, in
ways we can't see or understand, God is working on our behalf, moulding and guiding us
into fulfilling His purpose for us. It's trusting God even when we don't understand why
something is happening. It's holding on to Him when something bad happens and we
have no control to stop it. It's actually saying, " Lord, I don't understand this, it's
overwhelming and confusing, but I love You and I trust You." As we submit to God, we
can rest in the assurance that our Heavenly Father is taking care of us and that everything
will work out for us.
Thank You Lord for watching over me, for leading and guiding me. So many times, I am
confused and don't understand why I'm facing this difficulty, but I love and trust You
Lord and I know that You are working everything out for me. Mould me Lord and make
me all that You want me to be. Not my will, but Your will be done in my life. Thank You
Lord Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
Lydia
