A new year is here, brimming with possibilities and new experiences. There's so much in
store for us, but we must set our priorities in order if we want to experience all that God
has for us. We are to put Him first, above everyone and everything else in our lives. Our
hearts and minds should be filled with love and desire for Almighty God. His Name
should be constantly on our lips.
We are to seek Him.....to make fellowship with Him a priority. It involves daily
discipline, but God has promised to meet all our needs and take care of us when we put
Him first. As we seek after the things of God, He gives us strength, wisdom, courage and
power to be victorious.
We should have a hunger for the things of God....holiness, righteousness and purity. In
this New Year, let's rededicate our lives to God and make a commitment to put Him first,
to adhere to His principles and then watch as He honours His promise to take care of us.
Lord God, on this first day of a brand new year, I thank You that You are my Lord and
my Saviour and I rededicate my life to You. My heart yearns for You and my desire is to
deepen my relationship with You. Lord, help me to live a life of purity and holiness. I
love You Jesus. Amen!
