Bible Verse for January 25th.

If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be
delayed.
Habakkuk 2:3

We are basically an impatient people. When we want something, we usually want it to
happen immediately. We just can't wait. We may be waiting for a number of things......a
promotion, acceptance to college or university, a new job, wanting to start a family or a
number of other things. We've prayed, beseeched and cried out to God, but nothing seems
to be happening. Sometimes we may even get angry with God and wonder why He's not
answering our prayers.
We need to understand that God answers in His time, and it's always at the right time. It's
never late. Our duty is to wait patiently, prayerfully and expectantly. If we are in the will
of God and what we're praying for is part of His plan for us, be assured it will happen,
when He allows it. Sometimes He answers and it's not what we expect, but if we keep
trusting Him, eventually we will see God's plan unfold and everything fall into place.
When we feel ourselves becoming frustrated and dejected, we need to pause, take a step
back and recognize that God is in control and the outcome is in His hands. As we wait,
we need to be patient, stand firm on the promises of God, fellowship with Him and allow
His peace to reign in our lives.

Thank you Lord for caring for me. Lord, many times I feel discouraged when things don't
go my way. Help me to understand that You have a plan for my life and that Your answer
comes at just the right time. It is never late. I love you, Lord Jesus. Amen!
