Waiting proves to be difficult for most of us but this verse speaks to the blessings associated with waiting. We may have to wait for many things.....a promotion, change in our finances, improvement in our health, broken relationships to be restored or a change in the lives of our children. Whatever the need, it involves patience, perseverance and prayer. Oftentimes when we pray we expect an instant answer and when it doesn't happen we grow tired and weary but we must learn to wait patiently and expectantly before God.
There's no place for negativity, despair or complaining in waiting, as one thing is certain......God will hear our cries and will answer. As we wait on Him, we receive strength and courage and our faith is increased. When we fail to wait, we take matters into our own hands and usually make things worse. We serve a faithful God and in His perfect time, the answer will come. Waiting on God shows our dependency on Him and is a testament to others of our abiding love and trust in Him.
Thank you Lord for hearing my cry. I don't have the answers to this problem I'm facing and I need Your help. My dependency is on you alone and I'm waiting patiently and expectantly for you to answer, I love you, Jesus. Amen!
