Bible Verse for March 20th.

Children are a gift from The Lord; they are a reward from Him.

Psalm 127:3

So many of us have been privileged and blessed to have children. They are a gift from God to us. We don't own them, they are on loan to us and it's critical that we, as parents, bring them up in the fear and admonition of The Lord. Our duty is to pass on our love and respect for God, to teach our children our values and core belief in God. We have to be role models and lead them by example. Our lives must reflect Jesus.

Parenting is never easy. We need to spend a great deal of time in prayer, asking God for wisdom and direction to raise our children to be honourable men and women who will fulfil their God given destiny. We have to teach them respect and responsibility, set boundaries and follow through with consequences. We have to respect and honour them, recognize their uniqueness and make them feel special. Above all, we have to love them. God has entrusted them in our care and what we pass on to them will live long after we're gone. Our children are the future and we need to recognize what an awesome privilege we have been given to mould and mentor their young minds. Children truly are a gift from God.

Thank you Lord for my children. You have entrusted them to me. Give me the wisdom to bring them up to love and serve You and be all that You want them to be. May their lives be pleasing to You. I love you Jesus. Amen!
