Psalm 40: 1-3 NLT

1. I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry.

2. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire.

He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.

3. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God.

Many will see what He has done and be amazed.

They will put their trust in the LORD.

4. Oh, the joys of those who trust the LORD, who have no confidence in the proud

or in those who worship idols.

5. O LORD my God, you have performed many wonders for us.

Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal.

If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds,

I would never come to the end of them.

Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful.

Psalm 1:1 NKJV

Jesus, this day belongs to You! Let me be aware of my surroundings, so that I may walk circumspectly. Give me Lord, the ability to discern activities around me that are contrary to Your precepts. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

2 Timothy 4:1-5 NLT

1. I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when He comes to set up His Kingdom:

2. Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

3. For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.

4. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.

5. But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So, I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that by His poverty He could make you rich.

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God,

I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guard post. There I will wait to see what The Lord says and how He will answer my complaint.

Habakuk 2:1 NLT Bible

Waiting is difficult for most people. We dislike waiting for appointments, want immediate answers to problems and questions and grow impatient and irritable when things seem to be taking a long time. It's the same in our prayer life. We bring our situations and needs to God and expect the answer immediately. When this does not happen, we don't know what to do as we wait. We must recognize that He will answer us, but it will be in His time. We need to position ourselves, relinquish control of the problem and wait expectantly to hear from Him.

As we wait, we cannot allow ourselves to be distracted by voices around us that may be trying to present solutions that are not from God. We need to remain in an attitude of prayer, centred on God and filled with hope and expectation. Sometimes God answers us audibly, sometimes through the Holy Spirit, sometimes through His Word and often through the right people showing up at just the right time with the solution to our problems. However, the answer comes, it's all orchestrated by our loving Father. We cannot give up. We have to persist in prayer and then watch and wait. God will answer and He will never be late.

Thank you, Lord, for answered prayer! I surrender my cares and concerns to You and I wait silently and patiently in hope and expectation for Your answer. Lord, I know that You want only the best for me, and I thank You for caring for me. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
