I will be Your God throughout
your lifetime-until your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for
you. I will carry you along and save you.
Isaiah
46:4 NLT Bible
Growing old is inevitable and
we cannot hide from it or escape it. Many people go to extreme lengths to hide
their age, but if only they would recognize that aging is a privilege and a
gift from God. There is absolutely no reason to deny one's age. Instead, we
should celebrate every year that God has blessed us with and make every moment
count for Him. Even though physical ailments and limitations may come with the
aging process, we should never let it hinder us from being productive and
useful for God. He made us and has promised to take care of us and be with us
throughout our life.
Many benefits come with growing
old. We are wiser, more experienced, more compassionate, more knowledgeable and
have so much to offer to the younger generation. Every day should be an
opportunity to be of service to God and others. This can only happen as we
spend time in the Word and in prayer, allowing the Holy Spirit to renew,
refresh and energize us. It may not always be easy to do some of the things we
once did, but we have to keep on trusting and appropriating God's promise to
always be with us and keep living life to the fullest, allowing God to use us
for His Glory until He calls us home.
Thank
you, Lord, for Your promise to always
care for me. My desire is to love and serve you all the days of my life. Help
me to use every opportunity to share Your Word and be of service to those
around me. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be
Blessed!

His purpose was
for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward Him and
find Him—though He is not far from any one of us.
Acts 17:27 NLT
