The Christmas season is here again, and many people are caught up in a frenzy as they rush around shopping for presents, baking cookies, attending Christmas parties and other related events. At the end of it all, they are simply exhausted and have no time to focus on the true meaning of Christmas.

JESUS is the reason for this season! In this verse, the angel appeared to Joseph and told him that Mary would give birth to a son who would be called Jesus and He would save people from their sins. While the preparations and activities at Christmas are enjoyable, they must never overshadow the real meaning. We are to be thankful for our Saviour as we celebrate His birth, and our hearts should be filled with love, peace and goodwill towards all men. Our thoughts, words and actions must be centred around Jesus at Christmastime and always.

Thank you, Lord, for sending Your Son, Jesus. I pray that in the midst of all the Christmas preparations and activities, I will always remember that the real meaning of this season is the birth of my Saviour. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
