You ignored My advice and rejected the correction I offered.

At some point in our lives, we've all ignored sound and well meaning advice and rejected correction from people who cared deeply about us. However, in retrospect, if we had heeded their wise words, we could have spared ourselves numerous difficulties. As believers, we can also be guilty of rejecting discipline and correction from God.

To learn and grow and become all that God wants us to be, we have to be receptive to advice and correction. This can come from godly people God has placed in our lives and we can benefit from their wisdom and experience. However, all advice and correction must line up with The Word of God, as it is our standard for weighing whatever is said to us. When we receive and heed correction, we avert trouble and remain on the right path.

Thank you Lord for Your correction. Help me to never reject it, but to use it to learn and grow and become all that You want me to be. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
