Even children are known by the way they act, whether their conduct is pure, and whether it is right.

Proverbs 20:11

Most children are like open books. They say exactly what they are feeling and their actions match their words. Sadly, some adults are not like this. We say one thing and do another. We profess our faith in God, talk about His love and goodness and tell others about His saving grace and their need to have Him in their lives, but our actions don't line up with our words.

Our actions, whether good or bad, pure or impure, reflect who we are. To be effective and credible witnesses for God, they must match our words. If as believers, our conduct is not pure and right, then we are just being hypocritical. People may or may not listen to us, but they are observing the things we do to see if we are genuine about our faith in God. We will be remembered by our deeds long after we've left this world. We must let our lives count for Christ.

Thank you Lord for saving me. I pray that I will be an effective witness for you, that my words and actions will be pure and right. With Your help, I purpose to let my light shine for you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
