Most of us use an instruction manual to assemble electronics or a piece of furniture properly. In the same way, as children of God, we need to read His Word to get the direction and guidance we need to live godly and righteous lives. The commandments of The Lord are right and should bring joy to our hearts. They are clear, straightforward and precise and we cannot add to it or detract from it.

Sadly, today many people are twisting God's Word to conform with their behaviour. We must remember that if His Word deems something to be wrong, then it is, and we have to refrain from doing it. To know what God expects of us, we must immerse ourselves in His Word. In it, we find direction, guidance, encouragement, strength, counsel, insight and clarity on things that confuse us. There is no book as great as the Bible.

Thank you Lord for Your Word. It is my road map and guide for living a holy and godly life. I pray that I will be faithful and diligent in reading and obeying Your Word. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
