This verse summarizes what our lives should be like as believers of Jesus Christ. Everything we do should be done with one underlying goal and that is simply to glorify God. This means making ongoing, conscious decisions to abstain from anything that would bring dishonour to Him.
Our actions must bear witness to our profession of faith in God. We cannot say we are believers and have lifestyles that don't match our words. Simply put, every single thing we do, whether it's what we eat or drink, the way we dress, relationships we nurture, books we read, shows we watch and anything else should all bring honour and glory to God.
Thank you Lord for loving me. I want to live for You and glorify You in everything I say and do. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
