Bible Verse for January 8th.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4

This verse is a favourite of many people. We repeat it over and over again asking God to give us all that we desire as we delight in Him. However, we often neglect paying attention as to what it really means to delight in God.

God has promised to give us what we wish for, but we are to please Him in all we say and do, to take pleasure in spending time in His Presence and being obedient to His Word. We can claim God's promises, but we must always adhere to the conditions that come with them. God will fulfil our desires as we delight in Him.

Thank you Lord for Your promises. I delight in you and I long to be in Your Presence. I want to be obedient to you and pray that You will grant me all that I desire. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
