Bible Verse for June 7th.

But the Lord our God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against Him.

Daniel 9:9

Oftentimes, we're ashamed of the wrong things we've done and we wonder if God will forgive us. We've hurt others and acted contrary to the Word of God. We now find ourselves dwelling on our transgressions and we're unable to move forward. Thankfully, our God is merciful and forgiving and all that's required is for us to come to Him, acknowledge and confess our sins and He will wipe the slate clean.

We don't have to make excuses, rationalize our wrongdoing or defend the bad choices we've made. We just need to come before God with open and honest hearts and receive His forgiveness. Then we must avoid repeating our mistakes. We may have to deal with the consequences of what we've done, but they don't have to define us. God has forgiven and restored us and we need to move ahead and serve Him with purpose and passion.

Thank you Lord for being merciful and forgiving. I've done things that are wrong and violated Your precepts. Today, I confess my wrongdoing and ask for Your forgiveness. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
