Bible Verse for June 28th.

And don't let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one!

Matthew 6:13

Temptation lurks at every corner and to avoid succumbing to it, we must be vigilant and on guard. We cannot rely on our own strength, ability and will-power to resist temptation. We must seek God's help. He alone can rescue us from the sinful things that entice us.

In addition to asking God for help, we must also be aware of the things that tempt us and stay away from them. We have to surrender our lives to God, seek His help and live carefully and mindfully every moment of every day. Only then can we overcome the temptations that are constantly trying to ensnare us. God is our best ally in resisting temptation and as His Word tells us, He will always rescue us.

Thank you Lord for rescuing me from temptation. I am powerless and incapable of resisting temptation on my own. I need Your help to be an overcomer. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
