Bible Verse for June 22nd.

And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.

As believers, we should aspire to be more like Jesus, to imitate Him in everything we say and do. During His time on earth, Jesus was the epitome of love, joy, peace, compassion, kindness, empathy, patience, gentleness and humility. We need to live as He did every day and when faced with decisions always ask ourselves what would Jesus do. We will make mistakes and even veer off course, but the key is acknowledging our faults and doing better.

We may not be aware of it, but we are always being watched by believers and non-believers alike. If we want to be worthy and genuine ambassadors for God, our actions must always reflect Him. Then just like Paul, we too can tell others to imitate us. We need to regard each new day as an opportunity to become more and more like Jesus.

Thank you Lord for being the perfect example. Help me to live a life that's pleasing and acceptable to you. I pray that my life will be a godly example so that others can emulate me. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
