When confronted with wrongdoing and injustice, we often make excuses claiming we didn't know that such behaviour was wrong or we just plead ignorance about everything. In some instances, this may be the case, but oftentimes, it's just a means of excusing ourselves from taking a stand for what is just and right.
As believers, God's Word is there to guide and show us what's right and wrong. We also have our conscience that alerts us to anything that's displeasing to God. We cannot go through life making excuses, feigning ignorance for our actions, or in some cases, those of our friends or loved ones. We must take ownership of our actions. God understands our hearts, guards our souls and knows everything. If we deny knowing something, when in fact we do, He knows. There is nothing we can hide from Him.
Thank you Lord for knowing me. Help me to not make excuses or plead ignorance for wrongdoing. Let Your Word and my conscience guide me to always do what's right. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
