Bible Verse for April 12th.

"For they gave a tiny part of their surplus, but she, poor as she is, has given everything she had to live on."

Jesus was in the temple looking on as people gave their offering. He observed the rich dropping in large amounts while a poor widow put in two small coins which was all that she had. It's easy to give when we have a lot, but it becomes a challenge when we don't have much. We do it anyway, because we love God, want to obey Him and we trust Him to meet our needs. Everything we have is a gift from God and He deserves our best in return. This includes our time, talents and finances.

Many times, we give God the dregs of our time at the end of the day when we're tired and worn out. Yet, somehow, we've managed to watch television and catch up on social media. In the same way, we need to use our talents to bring honour and glory to God. If we're guilty of not giving God what rightfully belongs to Him, we need to challenge ourselves to put Him first and give Him the best.

Thank you Lord for all that You've given to me. You deserve the best of my time, talents and finances and I pray that I will always put you first. Forgive me for those times when I failed. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
