But HE was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. HE was beaten so we could be whole. HE was whipped so we could be healed.
Isaiah 53:5
NLT Bible
On this day, as we reflect on the death of Jesus, our hearts are filled with love and adoration for Our Lord and Saviour who died for us. He went willingly to the Cross and suffered horrific pain and mental anguish, because He loved us so much. He was ridiculed, whipped and beaten, but endured it all, taking the sins of the world upon Himself. This was an act of indescribable love and the ultimate sacrifice as God sent His Son to die for us.
On this special day, as we remember what He did for us at Calvary, the time is perfect for us, as His children, to rededicate our lives to God. It's also the time for anyone who does not know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour to simply confess their sins and invite Him to live in their hearts. Living for Jesus is the greatest and most rewarding thing we can ever do.
Thank you Lord for the Cross. Thank you for dying for my sins. Today, I remember Calvary and my heart is filled with praise and gratitude for what You did for me. I love you Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
Lydia
