Bible Verse for May 8th.

May the favour of the Lord our God rest upon us.

Psalm 90:17

As children of God, His favour rests upon us. It's God's gift to us and we don't have to beg for it. We just need to declare it over and over again on our lives. However, we have a role to play. We must be obedient to God and strive to please Him in everything we do. The Bible is filled with accounts of people who experienced the favour of God. Moses, Abraham, Ruth, Esther, David and many more were blessed in unexpected ways because they were favoured.

Psalm 84:11 tells us that God bestows favour and honour and does not withhold any good thing from us. This means we need to believe that we are favoured by God and then expect Him to bless us. Our desire should always be to have God's favour. When we're tempted to give in to discouragement and defeat, we need to remind ourselves that God's favour rests upon us and His blessings of increase, promotion, victory and success belong to us.

Thank you Lord for Your favour. As Your child, I am blessed and highly favoured. I believe and expect blessings to overflow in my life and I thank you for it. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
