"But I have this complaint against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first.
Revelation 2:4
NLT Bible
Many of us can remember when we first accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour of our lives. We were consumed with our love for Him, wanting to spend all our time in His Presence, reading His Word and serving Him in any way we could. Sadly, and this rings true for many relationships, our love and devotion waned. We allowed worldly pleasures, hectic lifestyles and even social media to draw us away from our once intense love for God.
These distractions have also compromised our love for each other, but thankfully, we can recapture this love for both God and our fellow man by shifting our focus away from anything that would lure us away from Him. We must ask for forgiveness, then let God be the number one priority in our lives once again. When this happens, it ripples over into our broken relationships and our love for each other is rekindled. Our yearning for God is revived as we fall in love with Him all over again.
Thank you Lord for loving me. Forgive me for not loving you as I should and for allowing things to diminish my love for you. Loving you is all that matters and with Your help, I purpose to live for you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
Lydia
