Bible Verse for May 24th.

You know what I long for Lord; You hear my every sigh.

Psalm 38:9

A sigh can convey so much. Sometimes it reflects satisfaction and contentment and other times it's borne out of our need, despair and desperation. These sighs usually come from deep within our souls and when we come to God in prayer, it's all we can do as we seem unable to verbalize our longings. Thankfully, God knows what we long for and He hears our every sigh.

Oftentimes there's a lot happening in our lives and we feel overwhelmed and think that no one understands. We go to pray, but only sighs and groans emanate from us as words fail. God not only identifies with every sigh, but He understands. As we continue in prayer, we eventually have a release within our spirits that assures us that God is in control and all will be well.

Thank you Lord for understanding me. You know everything I long for and You hear my every sigh. Words fail me, but I find comfort and peace in knowing that You care about everything I'm experiencing. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
