Bible Verse for May 13th.

You can be sure of this: The Lord set apart the godly for Himself. The Lord will answer when I call to Him.

Psalm 4:3

As godly believers, God has set us apart for Himself. We belong to Him and with this comes the assurance that He will answer when we call to Him. The prerequisite is that we be godly and this means we must love, fear, honour and obey God and strive to please Him in all we say and do. Sometimes, we cry out to God and in the natural, it seems that nothing is happening. The situation we've been praying about seems to be worsening and we wonder if God is hearing us.

We can rest assured that He is listening and we have His promise that He will answer. There's no need to throw our hands up in despair. All we are required to do is to keep on serving, obeying, believing and trusting God and let Him do the rest. When the answer to our problem comes, it may not be what we expected, but it will be exactly what's needed. We can always depend on God. He will not let us down.

Thank you Lord for choosing me. As Your child, I know that You will always answer when I call to you. You know everything I'm dealing with and I believe that You will answer. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
