We all experience periods of doubt, when our faith and beliefs are sorely tested. Things may be amiss in our lives and we begin to question if God is really hearing us. This is the time when we need to cling to God, to draw closer to Him through prayer, fellowship and time in His Word. When we do, our doubts disappear and once again we are able to trust Almighty God to see us through to victory.
When doubts rise up within us, we have a choice. We can feed on them or we can starve and nullify them by claiming the promises of God's Word and this fills us with renewed hope and comfort. Doubt has a way of attacking us when we least expect it, but we can be victorious if we use it to draw us into a deeper and closer intimacy with God. When this happens, our faith is increased and our doubts disappear.
Thank you Lord for Your comfort and hope. When doubt fills my mind, may I always draw close to you and Your Word, I know that this is the only way to dispel doubt and to live victoriously. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
