Bible Verse for March 25th.

So Noah did everything as The Lord commanded him.

Genesis 7:5

We've probably all read the story of Noah and the ark many times, without really focussing on the unquestioning obedience that Noah showed when instructed by God to build the ark. As the Bible tells us, God was very displeased with the disobedience of His people and was going to destroy all of them, except Noah, his family and pairs of every kind of animals and birds. God gave Noah specific instructions on the building of the ark and Noah simply obeyed Him.

It was a long and arduous process mixed with ridicule and mockery from unbelieving onlookers, but Noah disregarded it and just kept on constructing the ark. Upon completion, the ark was sealed shut, then the rains came and everyone inside was saved but the people of the land perished. As children of God, we should strive to be like Noah, remaining faithful and obedient to God regardless of the worldliness and immorality around us that may seem appealing and attractive. When we do this, God will ultimately reward us in the same way He rewarded Noah. All it takes is an obedient and willing heart.

Thank you Lord for Your many blessings. My desire is to always be obedient to you, to do what You want me to do without doubting and questioning, recognizing that You love me and want to bless me. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
