One thing that becomes easily apparent when we travel to other countries and meet with people is the similarity that exists among us. We all have goals, dreams and aspirations for ourselves and our loved ones and experience some of the same struggles and difficulties. If only we can grasp the fact that God created us, we may be able to acknowledge the equality we have as human beings. He doesn't care about our differences, whether we're rich, poor or famous because He made us all.
We may look different, speak another language, be of a different socio-economic background, act and dress differently, but at the core of it all is the same desire to advance and succeed in life. So many people look down on others because they are different and refuse to associate with them. What a world it would be if we could view everyone as God does, through eyes of love, understanding and compassion and recognize that within each person is the potential to live a life of destiny and purpose.
Thank you Lord for creating me in Your image. Help me to treat everyone with respect and dignity, to never look down on anyone because of their differences and may I always let my actions reflect you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
