Submit to God and you will have peace; then things will go well for you.

Job 22:21

When we submit to God, He has promised us peace and the assurance that things will go well for us. Oftentimes, we are just prone to going our own way and doing things the way we have grown accustomed to, without any thought about the impact of our decisions. As believers, we need to submit our lives to God and be subject to what He wants us to do. We cannot manoeuvre through life on our own. We need wisdom, strength, power, guidance and direction from God to help us reach our full potential and to help us to resist the enemy.

Submitting to God means drawing near to him through prayer and the Word and being obedient to His laws and precepts. When we surrender to God, we are actually giving up our fleshly desires and will and deferring to God's will for our lives. As we obey God and submit to Him, blessings follow us. Peace, prosperity and joy fill our lives and our plans come to fruition as God orchestrates every detail. Submission is the key and it may even be painful at times, as He prunes and refines us to be all that He wants us to be, but the end result is a closer and more intimate relationship with Almighty God.

Thank you Lord for leading and guiding me. I submit my life to you, all my plans and desires and ask that You show me the path I should take. I will fail if I do it on my own and I need Your help, wisdom, strength and direction. I love you Jesus. Amen!
