Bible Verse for January 31st.

But you must be careful so that your freedom does not cause others with a weaker conscience to stumble.

1 Corinthians 8:9
NLT Bible

Each one of us has a responsibility to fellow believers and we cannot let anything we say or do affect their relationship with God. Oftentimes we may do things that seem appropriate and correct to us, but yet someone can be offended by it and even stumble in their faith. So much is happening around us and it's important to weigh every action before we allow it to happen. The fact is we are being watched all the time, at home, at work, at church, when we're out shopping or dining and we must walk circumspectly, always being mindful that our actions can cause another believer to stumble.

So many people are privy to our comments on social media and unknowingly, what we say can sometimes cause them to question our character and may even hinder their relationship with God. The places we frequent, the way we speak and how we treat others are all things we must be mindful of. Love, concern and a genuine desire to see others live for Christ should motivate us to refrain from doing anything that would cause fellow believers to turn away from their faith. With God's help, our behaviour can have a positive impact on the lives of those around us.

Thank you Lord for the freedom You have given me. I pray for a sensitive and discerning spirit to help me do and say the things that will positively impact the lives of fellow believers. Let me never cause anyone to stumble. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
