Bible Verse for January 15th.

"Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth."

Isaiah 43:18-19
NKJ Bible

Many of us are still focusing on things that happened in the past. We can't seem to let it go.... It has a firm grip on us and we seem consumed by it. God is telling us that He wants us to forget the past and allow Him to do something new in our lives in this year. We need to engage in some soul searching and determine exactly what we are holding on to. Are we continually dwelling on our past mistakes, wrong and destructive relationships, or are we holding on to anger and bitterness. Many of us might still be caught in the grips of pain and hurt inflicted by someone. God is saying it's time to forget it, to leave it in the past where it belongs and allow Him to do a new thing in our lives.

As long as we keep dwelling in the past, we are hindering God's plan for our lives. There are some who may feel that they are not worthy, not good enough because of what they've done. Now is the time to surrender it to God and let Him heal our broken spirits and make a new way for us. With His help, we can all look forward to new and great things this year.

Thank You Lord for loving me, just as I am. Lord Jesus, I surrender all my pain and hurt, my mistakes and anything that will hinder Your plans for me. I give it all to you and I look forward to whatever You have in store for me in the year ahead. My desire is to serve you all the days of my life. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
