We live in the midst of an ever changing world, but what a comfort to know that we serve a God who does not change. We've seen changes in our government, our laws, technology, and even our weather. On a personal note, we may have seen changes in our jobs, our bodies, our health and our relationships. Change is swirling all around us and we need to ensure that we only allow the right ones to impact our lives. We cannot control or avoid many of the changes around us, but we can react to them in a manner that's pleasing to Almighty God and founded on His Word.

As children of God, our hope is in an unchangeable God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. What a glorious promise! In the course of our lives, we will experience change that may bring difficulties and trials, but we serve a God who is the same. What He did then, He can do now. His promises and precepts are the same. His Word is the same and His plan for our lives is the same. As more changes take place in our world, we can face them with confidence in our God who never changes.

Thank You Lord that You are the same yesterday, today and forever. God, so much is changing around me, but I am so thankful that You never change. Your promises are the same. Help me to not let these changes cloud my judgement. May I always look to You and Your Word to get the right perspective when things are changing. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
