Bible Verse for December 9th.

I prayed to The Lord, and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears.

Psalm 34:4

Fear is a powerful emotion that robs us of our peace and joy and this can be crippling for many of us. We can be fearful and worried about so many things......our children, parents, finances, jobs and relationships. Others may be filled with fear about their health, always believing that something is wrong with them and many more are simply consumed with worry and dread about the future. This is not how God wants us to live. We cannot realize our full potential if we allow fear to consume us.

God is able to free us from our fears, but we need to acknowledge and surrender them to Him and trust Him to deliver us. When we recognize that He is our Protector, Provider, Shelter and Deliverer, we can live free from the fear that has the potential to destroy us. It may not happen overnight, but as we continue to leave our fears with God, they begin to diminish. We also need to have positive and wholesome thoughts and avoid being around negative people. The Word of God is a powerful weapon against our fears and we need to speak these promises whenever fear rises up within us. Praising and worshipping God is also another powerful weapon against fear. When God dwells in us, fear has no other option, but to leave.

Thank you Lord for freeing me from fear. I surrender everything that fills me with fear and dread. Help me to always remember that there's no need for me to fear the future, because You are with me and because of that, I can have inner peace and joy. I love you! Jesus. Amen!
