A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly and suffers the consequences.

When a storm or hurricane is approaching, residents in its path are warned of the impending danger. Those who are wise will take the necessary precautions to avoid disaster while others will ignore the warnings and suffer the consequences. There are repercussions to almost everything we do and if we act in a cautious and careful manner, weighing all our options before deciding on the best one, we can be spared a lot of pain and heartache. If, however, we choose to ignore good advice and plunge blindly into something, we can suffer dire consequences. Oftentimes, we know what we are about to do is wrong, but we go ahead and do it anyway.
The Bible should be our guide for living and as we continue to fellowship with God through prayer and reading His Word, we will find ourselves becoming careful and wise in the decisions we make. We need to ensure that the path we are choosing is what God would want for us.
Thank You Lord for Your Word. Help me to look to You for guidance and direction when faced with decisions in my life. Lord, may Your Holy Spirit convict me if I'm heading in a dangerous direction and guide me back on the right path. I love You Jesus. Amen!
