How can a young person stay pure? By obeying Your Word.

Purity should be the desire of every child of God and the key to attaining it is seeking God and obeying His Word. Many young people today are trying to chart their course in life and there's no better way to succeed than through adherence to the Word of God. Purity involves being free from immorality and wrongdoing and keeping our hearts, minds and bodies perfectly attuned to the laws and precepts of Almighty God. When questions and insecurities surface, we need to immediately turn to His Word, as it holds the answer to every problem or concern we may have.

Being pure in heart guarantees that one day, we will see God. This should be our motive for living pure and clean lives and we don't have to fumble around for guidelines to live this way. His Word clearly outlines every step we should take and is our guide and road map for living victoriously. It protects our minds, keeps us firm and grounded and fills us with strength, hope, courage, and wisdom. When temptation strikes, His Word is our weapon to defeat the enemy and as we continue to obey, the result is a life of purity.

Thank you Lord for Your precious Word. I pray that with each new day, I will develop a deeper love for it. My desire is to be pure and holy and to obey Your Word. Lord, let your truths be indelibly printed on my mind and help me to remain firm and rooted in you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
