We should never compromise our reputation for anyone or anything. Having a good reputation is something we should covet, attain and maintain. There's nothing wrong with having wealth, but when it defines us, we need to take a step back to ensure that we are doing nothing to tarnish our good reputation. As followers of God, we should be known for our honesty, integrity, truthfulness, kindness and respect for others. We should be faithful, reliable and our actions should reflect Christ.

Being valued by others for our good reputation is so much better than being esteemed for our wealth. When we die, we will not be remembered for the things we owned, but we will be remembered for our integrity, honesty and for all the good things we did for others. We must walk carefully and diligently, holding fast to the laws and precepts of Almighty God, choosing to do what is good and noble at all times. We may have to make difficult choices to maintain our good reputation, but we must do whatever it takes, as it can be ruined in an instant. We need to walk circumspectly and make wise decisions and we can achieve this with help from God.

Thank you Lord for Your provision. Help me to live a life of honesty and integrity, to never be caught up in a quest for wealth that could compromise my belief and faith in you. My desire is to please you in all I say and do and to be a godly witness. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
