God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?

We are all human and as such, we are prone to flaws, weaknesses and peculiarities that characterize this complex human race. We may lie, change our minds and not follow through with plans and promises. In fact, some people behave like this all the time. How reassuring it is to know that we have a Heavenly Father who never behaves in this way. He does not lie. His Word is the absolute truth and we can count on Him. If He has promised us something, be assured it will come to pass.
We live in an ever changing world where things and people are constantly changing, but we serve an awesome and everlasting God who remains the same. He is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. God has promised us healing, deliverance, strength, courage and help in times of need and He has and will continue to be true to His promises. Many of us have been betrayed and deceived by 'friends' who have gone back on their word but we never have to doubt or wonder if God will ever renege on His promises. We can fully trust in the character and credibility of Almighty God. He is holy, faithful and He is our God.
Thank you Lord for being my everlasting Father. I can trust in you because You do not change and You are true to Your Word. I know that what You have promised me will come to pass. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
