Bible Verse for June 4th.

"Sound the alarm! The enemy descends like an eagle on the people of The Lord, for they have broken My covenant and revolted against My law."

Hosea 8:1
NLT Bible

This is such a cautionary and timely word from God himself. As believers, we need to sound the alarm and alert those who are caught in a tangled web of disobedience. The enemy is swooping down trying to devour children of God and we need to do everything that we can to draw them back to Him. All around us, we see that God's covenant and laws are being broken and replaced by a nonchalant acceptance of things that we know are wrong. This seems to be the new mindset and it's almost as if people have become numb to wrongdoing.

We also have to heed the sound of the alarm ourselves, and be alert and on guard. The enemy seems to be no longer sly and subtle, but there's a brazen openness in the way he seduces children of God. It is imperative that we be watchful, guarding our minds, our eyes and our hearts. We cannot be caught up in the moral decline that runs rampant and allow the enemy to infiltrate our lives. God's laws are to be obeyed. His Word remains the same. It cannot be diluted to appease and please everyone. As believers, we must pay attention to the alarm that's constantly sounding off and live in complete obedience to Almighty God. Our eternity depends on it.

Thank you Lord for Your laws. Help me to heed the alarm that's going off, to be watchful and alert and stay on the right path in my walk with You. My desire is to be found faithful and true. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
