Bible Verse for April 10th.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

Hebrews 12:1
NLT Bible

This verse challenges us to persevere in our walk with God. We have so many who serve as witnesses to lives lived faithfully for Him. They endured trials and struggles, yet they ran the race that God set before them with grace, dignity and endurance. In the previous chapter, mention is made of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Isaac and many more. Their lives serve as wonderful examples of trust and faith in Almighty God, despite all the challenges they encountered. We can add the names of many people we know, who have gone home to be with The Lord, who served him unwaveringly, never compromising their beliefs and values. They too encountered difficulties, but like good athletes, they shook off anything that threatened their walk with God and completed the race that was set before them.

We must do the same. We have to cast aside anything that would hinder our relationship with God and run our race with perseverance, discipline, determination and endurance, not letting anything stand in our way. We have to give every temptation, every sin, failure, mistake and weakness to God and keep pressing on, getting closer and closer to Him with each passing day. While we're running our race, we should always try to help someone who may be faltering or in need of a helping hand. This is a race we have to finish.....we cannot fail. Our eternity with Jesus depends on it.

Thank you Lord for Your strength. Help me to run this race that You have set before me with perseverance and faith. I surrender everything that would cause me to fail. You know it all Lord. My desire is to be faithful in serving You. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
