We all make mistakes, we all fail, but the key is how we respond to our failures. This verse tells us that as children of God, we may fail many times, but we will always get up again. However, we have to make that conscious decision to pick ourselves up and carry on as stronger, wiser people. Some of the mistakes may be due to circumstances beyond our control, yet others may be because of our own wrongdoing, but whatever the cause, we need to recognize that we don't have to remain in that state.
God has promised that we will rise up from our failures and we need to cling to this truth, embrace it and emerge with a new maturity, bent on not repeating our past mistakes. God has a plan for us and any attempt to stay in our fallen state will hinder what He wants to do in our lives. In the same way, we also have to be a helping hand to lift others up when they fail. We cannot do this alone, in our own strength. We have to continually bring our shortcomings and failures to God. Our reliance must be on Him at all times.
Thank you Lord for the assurance that You are always with me. Help me to be on guard at all times and if I stumble and make mistakes, with Your help, I can pick myself up and move forward stronger and wiser in service to You. I love you Jesus. Amen!
