There are so many people who do nice things for us all the time.....our family, teachers,
friends, colleagues and sometimes even strangers. It could simply be a smile, a kind
word, a gift or another thoughtful action. Sometimes it's unexpected, but it's just what we
need, and at just the right time. How do we react to kindness from someone? Many take it
for granted, some are too busy to notice, yet others feel entitled and no one bothers to
express their thanks.

Luke 17 tells us that Jesus healed ten lepers but only one returned to give thanks. As
children of God, we need to always have an attitude of gratitude for whatever is done for
us. When someone does something nice for us, regardless of how small it may be, we
need to express our thanks. What we are actually conveying is that they matter to us and
we are thankful, appreciative and blessed because of what they did.

There are so many ways to do it. We can verbalize it, reciprocate by doing something
nice and most important of all, we can pray, thanking God for them, for their kindness
and asking Him to bless and watch over them. Our expression of thanks must always be
genuine and heartfelt. God wants us to have a heart of thankfulness for all that we
receive.

Thank you Lord for all the blessings You have so freely given to me. I pray that you will
bless and watch over those who have been so kind and thoughtful to me and have shown
it in so many ways. Help me to not take anyone for granted. I love you Jesus. Amen!
