Bible Verse for January 6th.

We make our plans, but The Lord determines our steps.
Proverbs 16:9

Most of us love to plan. As children, our parents planned for us and we followed. As we
grew older, we got involved and made our own plans regarding our education, our
careers, our spouses, the home we wanted, how many children we'd have and on and on.
Planning is good, but as children of God, our plans have to 'line up' with God's purpose
for our lives.
We need to commit our plans to Him and follow where He leads us. Sometimes there
may be twists and turns along the way, but if we are trusting God and walking according
to His precepts, our plans will succeed. The 'bumps' we encounter may cause us to be
exactly where God wants us to be at that specific time. It's not always 'smooth sailing'.....
He may close one door, but then He opens another, and it might be just where we
originally envisioned ourselves. We may not understand everything along the way, but if
we will keep on trusting God and committing our plans to Him, we have the assurance
that His purpose will prevail.
Thank you Lord that You have a plan and a purpose for my life. You alone determine my
steps. I may not understand it all, but I commit all my endeavours to You and I am
willing to follow where You lead me. I love you, Lord Jesus . Amen!
