What an ideal world it would be if everyone could live together in peace and harmony.
Sadly this does not happen. There's discord and strife at home, at work, in governments
and even in churches. God desires us to live in unity with each other. We have to realize
that we are not all the same. We have different personalities, abilities, strengths and
weaknesses and we need to love and respect each other.

Disunity causes stress, tension, unhappiness and quarrels. Many things can contribute to
lack of harmony......envy, rage, hatred, pride, selfishness, gossip, being easily offended
and the list could go on and on. Loving and understanding each other is the key to living
harmonious lives. As believers in Christ Jesus, we must learn to forgive, to let go of
grudges, to overlook faults, to love, to listen, to allow others to 'shine' , to be happy when
they succeed, to learn to compromise on issues, while still adhering to the truth of God's
Word. Living in harmony and unity is what God expects from us, and with His help we
can achieve this.

Thank you Lord for this day. Help me to live in unity and peace with those around me, to
love, respect and appreciate them. Fill me with Your love, Lord Jesus. Amen!
