Bible Verse for January 22nd.

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your
Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:16

As believers, we need to let our lights shine for Jesus, allowing others to see evidence of
Him in our lives. Our lights should shine brightly for Jesus in everything we say and do.
At work, our peers must see honesty, integrity, respect and excellence in us. In our
homes, our lights should shine with love, compassion, respect and kindness towards our
family. Every person we interact with should see evidence of God at work in our lives.
We should reflect the glory and goodness of Almighty God and people should be drawn
to Him because of us.
Letting our lights shine for Jesus means our actions must complement our words. This
means that if we call ourselves children of God, recognize that people are looking at us to
see if there's a difference in the way we speak, what we do and how we interact with
others. How then can we be shining lights for Jesus in a dark and lost world? We must
read and obey God's Word, live exemplary lives and above all reflect the love of Christ
Jesus. We have a responsibility to let our lights shine until our Saviour comes.
Thank you Jesus for saving me. Lord, help me to live an exemplary life so that others can
see You in me. My desire is to let my light shine for You, so that others may come to
know you as Saviour and Lord. I love you Jesus. Amen!
